Tomorrow evening the Parks Board will consider our request to add singletrack bike trail on the 8 acre tract along Lynchburg Creek, East of the Community Park. If we're given approval we can probably add another 1.5 miles to our existing trail. It might be helpful if several of the CCC riders come out and show support for the measure. If the Parks Board approves then it has a much better chance of being approved by the city Council, but if the Parks Board rejects the proposal it's all but dead. So it's important that the Board approves.

It's also worth mentioning that CCC is providing all the labor so there is no cost to the City, and that we are very sensitive to the environment, meaning that we will not cut any trees (ie no Pacman Hill debacle) and we use proven 'best practices' in trail design. And we're talking singletrack so it's a narrow and winding trail with minimal impact on the environment.

The Parks Board meeting is at 7:00 pm at City Hall. I'll try to be there a little early to answer questions.

Thank you for supporting Corinth trails!

The Parks Board unanimously approved extending the trail to the 8 acre tract previously mentioned. From there it will be sent to the City Council for their approval. Since it will cost the city nothing and will not be visible or intrusive to the neighbors I don't anticipate any opposition. I'll keep everyone posted as the project develops.
